Master of Optometry (M.Optom) is a two-year postgraduate course that equips students with advanced knowledge and skills in eye health, vision care, and the diagnosis and management of ocular conditions. The program blends clinical training with academic learning, covering subjects such as ocular anatomy and physiology, visual optics, contact lenses, binocular vision, low vision aids, and ocular pathology.
Students receive hands-on experience through clinical postings, eye camps, and research projects, enabling them to diagnose refractive errors, prescribe corrective lenses, detect eye diseases, and co-manage systemic conditions with ocular manifestations. The course also includes training in the use of advanced diagnostic instruments and patient management strategies.
